About The Position

Account Executive – LTL & Truckload / Ogden, UT Looking for your next opportunity in logistics with a high-impact, client-facing role? Ardent is seeking an experienced Account Executive to support a key client on-site in Ogden, Utah. This role is ideal for a transportation professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys driving measurable results across both LTL and Truckload operations. As an Account Executive, you will serve as the primary transportation liaison for a dedicated client, managing daily freight operations while identifying opportunities for service excellence, cost control, and continuous improvement. What’s in it for you as an Account Executive: $60,000 base salary + uncapped commission Health, Dental, and Vision coverage 401(k) Paid vacation and holidays Career growth opportunities with a rapidly expanding organization High-visibility, on-site client exposure Responsibilities: Manage daily LTL and Truckload shipments, including routing, rate procurement, scheduling, and tracking Serve as the primary on-site transportation contact for the client Build and maintain strong relationships with national and regional carriers Monitor carrier performance and resolve service issues quickly and professionally Analyze freight spend to identify cost-saving and mode optimization opportunities Oversee claims, OS&D, accessorial charges, and billing discrepancies Provide reporting and KPI tracking to ensure performance standards are met Drive continuous improvement across transportation operations

Requirements

  • 3+ years of LTL and/or Truckload transportation, brokerage, or 3PL experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of NMFC classifications, FTL pricing structures, and market dynamics
  • Experience managing carrier relationships and handling service recovery
  • Proficiency in TMS platforms and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in an on-site, client-facing environment

Responsibilities
