About The Position

The Account Executive for the HARMAN Embedded Audio Sales Team is responsible for interfacing with key customers to achieve business targets and represent the HARMAN Embedded Audio business unit. The role focuses on winning new customer partnerships through effective sales outreach, ensuring high customer satisfaction, and supporting various business development activities to grow the sales funnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management, marketing, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of related experience in B2B sales/business development/technical sales role
  • Knowledge of solution-selling techniques/methodologies
  • Proven record in generating new business from new contacts
  • Experience working in a global matrix organization
  • Prior experience in the development/sale of embedded Audio and related products
  • Existing relationships within embedded audio networks
  • Experience using sales automation and account planning tools
  • Experience in Strategic Selling and contract negotiation
  • Knowledge of acoustic and embedded audio software technologies
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-directed with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and win strategic business partnerships
  • Identify customer needs based on the HEA NTI Platform to create a tailored value proposition
  • Analyze Key HEA Strategic Verticals to identify opportunities and market trends
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams globally, primarily in China
  • Develop presentations for business planning and reviews with key customers
  • Advise dealers, distributors, and clients on sales and advertising techniques
  • Liaison between customers and HEA functional areas for collaboration and resolution
  • Aggregate and communicate weekly revenue projections and monthly budget tracking
  • Work with functional teams to prepare proposals and marketing programs
  • Support the Director of Sales in prospecting and closing new accounts
  • Assist in implementing strategic sales planning and monitoring sales activity
  • Prepare and submit sales forecasts for assigned customers
  • Manage customer account receivables
  • Use sales automation platform for sales-related activities
  • Prepare monthly sales performance reports and plans to address shortfalls
  • Assist with order entry and inventory inquiries
  • Submit new customer agreements and update existing agreements
  • Monitor and report competitive activity in the marketplace
  • Complete other related duties as assigned
  • Work closely with marketing to establish successful channel and partner programs
  • Plan and execute key customer business reviews and technology shows
  • Utilize tools to calculate project business financial metrics.
