About The Position

In this role the Account Executive is responsible for the strategic planning, development, and execution of a specific plan to achieve and exceed the assigned sales growth targets for the Cole Haan footwear category. Must exercise in depth knowledge of department stores business practices including building strong business relationships as a strategic partner and Cole Haan brand ambassador, both internally and externally. This position will report to the Director of Sales - WFW and Lifestyle Accessories.

Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree in related areas or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years’ experience in men’s/women’s footwear sales required, department store specific experience preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial drive and the ability to manage day-to-day details as well as the ability to define and execute against long-term strategic vision and objectives.
  • Demonstrate track record in meeting sales/revenue goals with major account responsibility.
  • Understanding of all retail profitability components with knowledge specific to Dillards’ analytics.
  • Strong analytical ability, organizational, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to establish and build effective working relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
  • Based out of Dallas Office.
  • Flexible to travel as required.

Responsibilities

  • Direct responsibility for managing the Dillard's Women’s Footwear Business, across all divisions, along with specialty retailers in the area and new business opportunities.
  • Attend quarterly sell-in meetings and execute to account partners in line with Cole Haan Brand objectives.
  • Formulate and implement short-term and long-term strategic business plans in conjunction with senior leadership that will execute against corporate sales and profit goals to ensure that objectives are achieved.
  • Develop recommended product assortments covering all categories and franchise businesses.
  • Liaison cross-functionally with Cole Haan Merchandising team with specific product feedback for development and long-range product needs and ensure robust assortment / development.
  • Work closely with merchandising partners to ensure robust assortment by category.
  • Forecast account needs and manage the account on-order vs monthly financial goals.
  • Master product and brand information, selling and marketing strategies to inform and drive the business.
  • Act as liaison between the various Cole Haan departments and customers to ensure service levels and expectations are met. Collaborate with Customer Service, Marketing, Planning, Finance, Merchandising to address customers’ needs, both internal and external.
  • Monitor weekly/monthly retail sales performance against goals per account. Develop sell through strategies to affect underperforming categories. Monitor stock levels and identify and communicate opportunities for reorders, new orders, and special orders.
  • Identify account opportunities to improve product assortment. Clearly identify and communicate competitive trends.
  • Build strong relationships with Buyers and ensure strong collaboration and partnership.
  • Utilize Cole Haan and retailers’ sales automation systems and tools to analyze, manage and plan into the business as well prepare business report.
