About The Position

Telemundo Jacksonville (DFOX-TV) is the Spanish-language home of the Super Bowl, Olympics, FIFA World Cup, and premier programming that connects millions of viewers to the moments that matter most. We're looking for an Account Executive to help local and regional businesses tap into the powerful and growing Northeast Florida Hispanic market through our linear and digital platforms. This is a unique opportunity to be part of something groundbreaking—the launch of Noticias Jacksonville, our new local news operation starting in 2026. You'll play a pivotal role in building advertiser relationships from the ground up while representing one of the most trusted names in Spanish-language media.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of multicultural new business development and prospecting experience or 2+ years in media marketing
  • Demonstrated success driving revenue growth through impactful campaigns
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to prospect, close new business, and grow existing accounts
  • Strong analytical thinking with exceptional attention to detail
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with competing priorities
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of media sales, account management, or media buying experience
  • Track record of success in both digital and television sales within a local market
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and CRM systems (HubSpot experience preferred)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Responsibilities

  • Drive New Business Growth Prospect and develop new client relationships through strategic outreach and consultative selling
  • Identify opportunities in both general and Hispanic markets to expand our advertiser base
  • Create customized multi-platform advertising solutions that deliver ROI for your clients
  • Build Lasting Client Partnerships Conduct in-depth needs analyses to understand each client's unique business challenges
  • Develop data-driven marketing strategies that align with client objectives
  • Deliver proof of performance reports that demonstrate campaign success and foster account growth
  • Maximize Revenue Opportunities Manage your sales pipeline using HubSpot CRM with precision and accountability
  • Present compelling, persuasive proposals that showcase the value of our television and digital assets
  • Negotiate advertising rates effectively while maintaining strong client relationships
  • Match sponsorship opportunities with client needs to create win-win partnerships
  • Collaborate for Success Work closely with internal teams including Account Managers, creative, and operations to ensure flawless campaign execution
  • Provide accurate forecasts and sales reporting to leadership
  • Participate in ongoing training, sales meetings, and client strategy sessions
  • Identifies and assesses sales opportunities and apply resources and strategies appropriately
  • Solicits new business through prospecting and cold calling
  • Consistently works target accounts in the pipeline
  • Generates revenue through the development of new accounts and growth of existing accounts
  • Develops advertising solutions for new customers that deliver results to their customers
  • Provides information to sales management to ensure generation of tracking reports regarding pending deals, forecasts, advertiser, contact and prospect lists
  • Conducts a need analysis and account reviews to uncover the customer’s most essential needs
  • Develops effective marketing plans to meet clients’ needs and objectives
  • Creates compelling and persuasive presentations that facilitate new or additional business
  • Effectively negotiates advertising rates
  • Is able to demonstrate product knowledge and value to customers
  • Matches available station sponsorships with the needs of prospects and clients and persuasively present and sell those sponsorships
  • Works with internal departments to manage account stewardship throughout the process
  • Utilizes CRM (HubSpot) to manage day to day activity, build a pipeline and ensure execution along with providing weekly projections and reporting
  • Upsells current customers by providing proof of performance and solid results
  • Collaborates with Account Manager to provide timely and accurate traffic instructions; conducts account maintenance including make-goods posts, and aging/collections
  • Attends sales meetings, training sessions and client remote meetings
