Wealthsimple is looking for an experienced bilingual Account Executive to help grow our Wealthsimple for Business product line in the SMB segment. Reporting to the Manager, SMB Sales, you will be responsible for driving new logo and net deposit growth by engaging our existing customer base as well as new prospects with our financial products tailored to small and medium sized businesses across Canada. This role requires a balance of outbound hunting, inbound lead nurturing and re-engaging our existing customer base.

Requirements

  • Fluently bilingual in English and French (spoken and written)
  • 3+ years sales experience in a closing role. Ideally in a fast-paced start-up environment, fintech or SaaS. Prior experience as an SDR and BDR is a significant asset.
  • Proficient in leveraging a high performance sales tech stack including Salesforce, Salesloft, Linkedin Sales Navigator, Gong and ZoomInfo.
  • Strategic market ownership — identify trends and build highly targeted lists of prospective clients that fit our ideal customer profile
  • Customer first mindset — you have been successful in your career by understanding the ideal customer journey and have a client first mentality
  • Strong communication — be able to run strong discovery calls and uncover a prospective client’s pain points and business goals
  • Confidence — A proven track record of converting prospects into partners by securing commitment once all strategic goals and technical requirements have been met
  • Process-oriented — A disciplined approach to managing the full sales lifecycle, ensuring a high degree of CRM hygiene and a proactive, data-driven strategy for lead nurturing.
  • Resourcefulness — you should have demonstrated track record of persevering in the face of adversity. When faced with a challenge, you build a plan to find a solution.
  • Creativity — you see there are many paths to accomplish a task. Thinking outside the box when connecting with potential customers can help you overperform in your role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with small and medium sized business owners throughout Canada.
  • Know the Wealthsimple for Business SMB offering inside and out, including business banking, group retirement plans and business investing accounts.
  • Grow your qualified pipeline by nurturing inbound leads, engaging existing clients and hunting outbound for the right customers that align with our offering.
  • Develop opportunities for the business through outreach emails, calls, and qualification. In person events and customer meetings may come up from time to time
  • Nurture and educate prospective clients throughout the entire sales cycle, from prospect all the way to closed won opportunity.
  • Stay up to date with both the Wealthsimple for business and retail offering
  • Create targeted lists of high-net worth prospects and experiment outreach with new segments
  • Be the first touchpoint in the SMB segment that articulates the Wealthsimple value proposition to potential prospects
  • Understand the competitive landscape in the SMB space and be able to articulate how Wealthsimple can help business owners reach their financial goals
  • Work closely with Product and Marketing on creative projects that help drive revenue growth
  • Achieve monthly quotas and daily KPIs of outbound touches across email, calls, text
