About The Position

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Include, but not are limited to, the following: Explores new opportunities and develops innovative strategies and builds sustainable and direct relationships with community business leaders, organizations, educators, medical staff, and others to generate awareness of GCU’s programs and to address their specific career needs and personal interests. Develops and executes the strategy and logistics necessary to cover a large geographic area which include organizing events such as on-site information seminars and presentations, or representing the University at conferences and/or conventions targeting specific audiences. Acts as Subject Matter Expert for assigned territories and GCU’s higher educational programs for students and contacts to rely upon throughout the life-cycle enrollment process including application, admissions, tuition/financial aid, registration and retention processes. Develops and executes retention strategies for every student successfully enrolled. In collaboration with other University colleagues or management, develops marketing plans to promote the Colleges’ programs to constituents. Facilitates the distribution of informational materials through all appropriate channels within a territory. Works with GCU’s enrollment team to enable seamless enrollment process for business leaders and staff. Contributes to enrollee(s)’ experience and positively impacts retention by acting as an advocate for GCU. Remains current with GCU’s programs, new industry-wide trends and developments. Confident, high energy and capable of launching new territories successfully, if necessary. Knowledge of higher-learning environments and programs. Computer/office software proficiency including MS Office Suite. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree (highly preferred) or 5 years’ related experience with a minimum of 60 college credits completed and progressing toward an undergraduate degree. Minimum of 3 years’ experience demonstrated success in attracting and retaining business-to-business, outside sales, account management experience with a significant product or service and preferably within a large, diverse geographical area. Experience and skill in building territories and leads. A combination of similar education and work experience may be substituted with prior approval. Job Requirements: Ability to travel in territory as required. May involve 80% travel requiring some overnights and on weekends. Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Cannot be delinquent or in default on a federal student loan as verified in your credit report.
