About The Position

PromptBio is an AI-Scientist Collaborator platform that helps translational R&D and discovery teams discover, process, and extract ML-driven insights from biological data. We’re hiring a hands-on Sales/BD rep to own outbound customer acquisition, pilot motions, and conference-driven pipeline. You will own outbound customer acquisition and pipeline generation end-to-end: prospecting (cold email + cold calling + LinkedIn), booking demos, running pilot/POC commercial motions, and CRM ownership from first contact through close.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years in quota-carrying outbound sales / BD in life-sciences SaaS, bioinformatics tools, genomics, diagnostics, or similarly technical B2B environments.
  • Demonstrated success running cold email + cold call cadences and converting to demos/POCs.
  • Proven CRM usage as the primary system of record; comfortable with weekly pipeline forecasting and activity logging.
  • Ability to learn technical biological data workflows and credibly converse with scientists and bioinformaticians.
  • Self-starter who can self-source pipeline without reliance on inbound leads.
  • Data-driven & coachable — comfortable being measured on activity and conversion KPIs.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MS/PhD or technical background a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling into academic cores, pharma translational, or computational biology teams.
  • Familiarity with omics workflows (RNA-seq, proteomics, single-cell) or ML for biology.
  • Familiarity with GenAI and workflow automation/delegation with AI agents.
  • Existing network in biotech/academic research labs.

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute a territory/outbound plan to source and qualify target accounts (academic labs, biotech/pharma R&D, CROs, discovery teams).
  • Run structured cold outreach (email sequences, calls, LinkedIn) and book discovery/demo meetings.
  • Lead discovery → technical demo → pilot/POC → conversion motion; negotiate pilot scope and commercial terms with support from solutions/founders.
  • Full CRM ownership: create and maintain accounts, contacts, deals, activities and forecasts. Log all interactions promptly and accurately.
  • Enter and tag conference/event leads, run follow-up cadences, and measure event ROI.
  • Collaborate with Product & Marketing to iterate ICP, messaging, and outreach sequences based on real customer feedback.
  • Serve as the primary voice of the customer — document objections, feature requests, and competitive intel.
  • Prioritize and rigorously disqualify low-fit opportunities to focus on high-probability deals.
  • Produce clear handoffs to Solutions/Customer Success with complete CRM documentation.
