The Role Reporting to the Sr. Director, National Accounts, the “Account Executive” is responsible for contributing to the growth of Kensington Tours Agency Host channel in the US & Canada through proactive account management of Host Accounts across North America. This role also provides essential administrative support to the host team.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ travel industry phone sales experience, ideally in a B2B capacity
  • Proven ability to develop new business and increase sales
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and an ability to communicate in a polished and professional manner
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to attend and participate in trade events & conferences when required
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail Excellent customer service/relationship-building skills
  • Proven time management skills with an ability to set and meet personal timelines and deliverables
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, changing, entrepreneurial environment and meet time-sensitive deadlines
  • Upbeat personality with comfort being both a flexible and adaptable team player and a self-starte (Must be able to work in a lean environment with autonomy)

Nice To Haves

  • Worldly and well-traveled with a nuanced understanding of the expectations of the luxury traveler, an asset
  • Specific regional experience/expertise across Europe, Asia, Africa, and/or Latin America an asset

Responsibilities

  • Achieve personal Sales / Revenue and other Business KPI’s by executing proactive sales strategies for Host Accounts.
  • Actively manage advisors that fall below the threshold within the host sales portfolio to increase sales revenue (note: this role will work in tandem with the field directors and host director)
  • Build and preserve effective relationships with new and existing host advisors, inclusive of maintaining an optimal level of agent-related activities/week (emails, calls, follow-up calls, Agent sign-ups, webinars, and events)
  • Provide superior levels of customer service and sales support to all host accounts.
  • Resolve any agent concerns or complaints through immediate communications with appropriate parties
  • Maintain agency prospect lists/contact database to identify opportunities
  • Proactively and consistently seek opportunities to promote and sell products
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of all Kensington Tours products and services
  • Host product/system training webinars with agency and consortia partners when required
  • Assist Sr Director of National Accounts and Host Sales Directors in sales, administration, travel and events logistics, reporting, marketing, and agency relationship management
  • Will be required to assist in representing Kensington Tours at trade shows and preferred agency network events, presenting the Company’s products and services
  • Assist Director of Sales with administrative duties
  • Other projects assigned
