About The Position

The Life Sciences Sales Division is looking for an Account Executive (Emerging Career) who is passionate about building authentic relationships with Life Sciences customers, wants to help solve their business problems and is ready to drive sales of SAS software products, solutions, and services. The Account Executive is responsible for driving growth in named accounts in our Life Sciences portfolio for the United States market. This includes development of new and existing account relationships to expand our existing footprint, business prospecting and sales across customer business units. You will champion the sales cycle and work across teams to achieve the best solution for our customer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of Software Sales experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-driven, organized, strong time management skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical, reasoning, planning and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively leading a team selling environment.
  • Ability to Travel (50%)

  • Experience selling software solutions into Life Sciences customers.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the account lead on assigned accounts, setting the sales strategy for individual accounts to drive adoption of SAS solutions and taking overall responsibility for developing and enhancing the client relationship.
  • Drive growth with strong prospecting skills through hunting new opportunities and building strong relationships with clients.
  • Understand and document customers' business and IT strategies, priorities, and goals, identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer objections, and develop the strategy to resolve blockers.
  • Use information gathered about your clients as input to a SAS common operating model for sales to plan at an account level and opportunity level, execute a win strategy and opportunity action plan and collaborate with the extended team who will help close opportunities with you.
  • Build and manage client relationships. Manage the shaping and closure of opportunities leveraging a team of SAS specialists to support the sales process.
  • Build and manage a team of internal SAS relationships across sales, pre-sales and customer success functional resources to assist with developing and closing opportunities and developing satisfied clients.
  • Oversee negotiations involving contract terms and pricing.
  • Carry a revenue quota to meet or exceed sales targets within assigned accounts.
  • Serve as the primary day to day contact for clients in respective territory.
