About The Position

The Account Executive provides advanced support to Commercial Lines Advisors and clients in managing, retaining, and expanding commercial insurance accounts. This role independently oversees a book of business, delivers expert guidance on coverage and risk, and ensures exceptional client experience through proactive service, technical expertise, and strong professional communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or similar field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 4-6 years of experience in commercial lines account management or related field.
  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license required.
  • Regularly attend client meetings on or off site.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex information and provide clear, informed recommendations.
  • Proficiency with Applied Epic, Microsoft Office, and digital communication tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, ethical conduct, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • CLIENT & ADVISOR PARTNERSHIP
  • Collaborate with Advisors to manage and grow an assigned book of business.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and carriers, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional communication.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, underwriters, and internal team members.
  • Plan and participate in client meetings, including renewal and strategy discussions.
  • MARKETING & PLACEMENT
  • Drive the marketing process, including gathering exposure information, preparing submissions, securing quotes, and analyzing carrier proposals.
  • Ensure submissions meet carrier requirements and are accurate, complete, and timely.
  • Present coverage options and renewal strategies to clients; coordinate binding instructions with carriers.
  • Prepare professional proposal materials and deliver renewal presentations as required.
  • SERVICE & TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
  • Partner with Account Managers to ensure high‑quality service and workflow efficiency.
  • Delegate and oversee service tasks such as endorsements, audits, policy issuance, and coverage changes.
  • Provide technical guidance on coverage interpretation, documentation standards, and communication quality.
  • Review policies and endorsements for accuracy and alignment with client expectations.
  • Assist clients in understanding coverage structures, exposures, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Address client inquiries related to billing, claims, and policy details, engaging the Account Manager team as needed.
  • Develop customized service plans and ensure timely execution across all team members.
  • CLAIMS SUPPORT
  • Guide clients on claim reporting processes and provide ongoing status updates.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers to ensure timely, accurate claim submissions.
  • Communicate with carriers and adjusters to monitor claim progress and resolve issues.
  • Review claim activity, identify trends, and escalate concerns when needed.
  • Integrate claim insights into renewal strategies and stewardship reporting.
  • DOCUMENTATION & SYSTEMS
  • Maintain accurate client and policy records in Applied Epic, following agency documentation standards.
  • Utilize Epic, CSR24, Indio, and other agency-approved tools to support efficient communication and enhance client engagement.
  • Participate in workflow improvement efforts by identifying opportunities and assisting in updating procedures.
  • Know by name and face as many customers and employees as possible, calling them by name as often as possible.

  • Know, understand, and live the company values and bottom line.
  • Conduct activities consistent with established Bell Bank policies, procedures and systems, the Bell Bank Employee Conduct policies, the Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
