About The Position

ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE - BUSINESS INSURANCE PRIMARY ROLE: Day-to-day maintenance and servicing of assigned Business insurance accounts, including but not limited to: Maintaining a high level of client service and satisfaction Marketing & placement of renewal accounts as appropriate Achieving agency account retention goals through proactive account rounding, up-selling of limits and coverage and by providing extraordinary client service

Requirements

  • Currently have or able to earn Property & Casualty licensing through the State of Ohio and any/all other appropriate state license(s) required.
  • Currently have or able to be appointed to represent Agency’s insurance carriers.
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial insurance, including sophisticated and less common coverages, especially for those products represented through the agency.
  • Thorough knowledge of claims handling, commercial lines rating, agency management system and applicable insurance laws/codes.
  • Experience and expertise in operating in an electronic environment through the use of excellent automation skills
  • Familiarity with risk assessment and risk management techniques
  • Possess excellent time management, organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work on a constant basis
  • High degree of self-motivation and self-direction
  • Available to work overtime if necessary or needed as dictated by work load

Responsibilities

  • Support Producers’ sales efforts by handling accounts through policy issuance.
  • Perform annual review and risk exposure analysis of renewal policies for proper coverage, incorporating information obtained from client
  • Maintain electronic client files and ensure proper documentation, by processing all policies, endorsement changes, invoices, binders, certificates of insurance, documentation, activities, etc., in Agency’s management system per Agency procedures.
  • Manage expiration lists and aged receivables in accordance with agency guidelines.
  • Respond to client inquiries and correspondence in accordance with agency guidelines
  • Review all items to be processed, to ensure items were received as ordered.
  • Maintain current knowledge of underwriting requirements of carriers.
  • Keep current with industry trends by attending Agency approved continuing education classes and attending Agency run meetings and education sessions.
  • Be an advocate for Agency’s other departments when interacting with clients and provide support and assistance to other departments when necessary
  • Support the Agency’s overall mission within the communities it serves through community and civic involvement.
  • Maintain all required state licensing and company appointments as required.
  • Participate in any special projects at management’s request.
