This role is within Medtronic's Acute Care & Monitoring (ACM) business, which collaborates with the global healthcare community to address clinically meaningful problems related to blood oxygen management, respiratory compromise, and perioperative complications. This is an opportunity for a Principal Account Executive to join the ACM sales team. The primary responsibility is to drive sales growth and market share by promoting the Respiratory & Monitoring Solutions portfolio to key clinical leaders in the ICU, General Care Floors, and Procedural Sedation departments. While this is a remote position not located at a physical Medtronic site, the successful candidate must reside within the Long Island, Brooklyn, or Queens territory and be prepared to drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. The role involves being a product expert, providing education and training to clinical end-users and hospital staff, and developing new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Reside within the territory (Long Island, Brooklyn, Queens)
  • Valid driver's license
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND at least 6+ years of field sales experience OR Associate’s Degree AND at least 4+ years of field sales experience OR Bachelor’s Degree AND at least 2+ years of field sales experience
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required

Responsibilities

  • Actively seek to develop and expand your territory via your management and selling skills
  • Plan and execute work to achieve or exceed sales targets
  • Be the product expert and provide education and training effectively to all clinical end users and hospital staff for your assigned territory
  • Gather market intelligence (product, price, promotion, discount etc.) by observation, discussion, or research, and seek to develop new business opportunities
  • Work individually and as part of the wider team to establish and foster strong relationships with key opinion leaders
  • Ensure timely follow-up and prompt resolution to customer/patient technical and product issues, including after-hours support when needed
