About The Position

The Account Director is responsible for the development of ongoing client business relationships. The Account Director may lead and manage a large piece or multiple pieces of smaller business and associated client engagements. The Account Director is responsible for overall client satisfaction, internal team satisfaction, quality of service, financial health of the business while identifying new opportunities, and developing and growing account team.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships with the ability to have tough conversations when needed in an effective and respectful way that protects relationship.
  • Lead the development of yearly planning, campaigns, projects, and overall health of the business.
  • Supports Account Leadership by fostering innovative solutions and reinforcing quality standards across all work.
  • Responsible for the growth and development of the account team. Mentoring, encouraging, and empowering/challenging them to grow and deliver against client and agency expectations.
  • Responsible for the profitability and financial health of the account, as well creative + strategic + media output.
  • Responsible for ensuring team and work are getting right internal recognition and partnering with Communications lead on PR/awards and Chemistry social team when necessary.
  • Effective at managing up and down to ensure full team is aware of business updates, key initiatives and any challenges that need to be addressed.
