About The Position

This position will post, bill, reconcile, and record hospital acute, long-term care and other payments in a timely manner. Payments may be posted manually or electronically. This position may communicate directly with providers of services, insurance agencies, and recipients of services or their responsible parties.

Requirements

• Six (6) months of work experience demonstrating knowledge of arithmetic and spelling.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to write simply and directly.
• Ability to compare words and numbers quickly and accurately.
• Two (2) years of work experience involving posting to accounting records and systematizing fiscal information.
• Knowledge of standard accounting classification and terminology.
• Experience reconciling accounts and preparing standard financial statements.
• Demonstrated supervisory aptitude.

Nice To Haves

• Graduation from high school with courses in basic English and arithmetic.
• Completion of a full-time equivalent accounting curriculum leading to a degree or diploma.
• Education in an accredited university in a baccalaureate program.
