We’re seeking a results-driven, accountability-minded Account and Loan Representative to empower our members to achieve financial success at our Solutions Center in Wappingers Falls. Your Role: As an Account and Loan Representative, you’ll play a dual role: providing personalized, high-quality service to members while actively identifying and pursuing new business. You’ll uncover member needs, offer tailored financial solutions, and take initiative to prospect, generate leads, and follow up — helping individuals achieve their goals while advancing TEG’s mission. This is a full-time, 40 hour/week position, Monday – Saturday, but the schedule varies; you must have flexible availability.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in lending, personal banking, and/or financial services in a bank or credit union
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be available to work on Saturdays

Nice To Haves

  • Experience originating and/or closing loan applications is desired
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desired!

Responsibilities

  • Educates members on available loan products and ensures all required application information is accurate and complete prior to submission
  • Interviews loan applications to develop information concerning their loan needs, submits applications to the underwriting department.
  • Proactively seek growth opportunities through outbound calls and prospecting activities.
  • Performs member service and loan service functions as requested by the member, such as address changes, ordering of checks, and lien releases.
  • Responds to and resolves member issues, such as placing stop payments, reordering of lost or stolen ATM/Debit Cards, disputing fraudulent transactions and loan inquiries ensuring member concerns are resolved.
  • Assists members with mobile or online banking questions.
  • Assists the Branch Manager with retaining and developing new accounts and loans, effectively cross-selling credit union products and loan services driving business growth.
