About The Position

The Account Administrator provides critical operational, administrative, and coordination support to Account Managers, enabling them to focus on strategic selling, relationship management, and revenue growth. In addition to serving as the day‑to‑day backbone of account execution, this role independently owns and manages a portfolio of smaller, lower‑complexity customer accounts, acting as the primary point of contact and ensuring a high‑quality customer experience. This position blends strong executional support with defined account ownership and serves as a developmental role for expanded client responsibility over time.

Requirements

  • Experience in a retail, CPG, or consumer-products environment
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a customer‑focused mindset
  • Superior attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality service delivery
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and interruptions in a fast‑paced environment
  • Demonstrated judgment to determine appropriate follow‑through, escalation, and resolution
  • Ability to understand financial reports, including budgets, expenses, and sales summaries
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to prepare proposals and conduct group presentations as needed
  • Self‑starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team environment
  • Comfortable balancing internal administrative responsibilities with externally facing account interactions
  • Ability to travel 10%

Responsibilities

  • Enter/place orders; track confirmations, inventory, delivery windows; coordinate changes.
  • Log activities, maintain contacts, ensure timely/accurate reporting and documentation.
  • Schedule meetings, create agendas, capture notes/action items; coordinate travel logistics.
  • Draft and format proposals/decks, maintain templates, manage versions and approvals.
  • Support promo planning, timelines, and trade show logistics and materials.
  • Track sales/expense budgets; compile reconciliations and summaries.
  • Log issues, route internally, track status, escalate to AM as needed.
  • Independently manage a defined portfolio of smaller or lower‑complexity customer accounts
  • Serve as the primary day‑to‑day point of contact for assigned accounts, handling routine communication, order coordination, and follow‑through
  • Ensure accurate order execution, issue resolution, and service continuity within established guidelines
  • Maintain strong customer relationships through responsiveness, professionalism, and reliability
  • Identify account activity, issues, or growth indicators and communicate appropriately to Account Managers
  • Maintain accurate CRM records for all owned accounts, including notes, activity tracking, and documentation
  • Escalate matters that exceed scope, complexity, or defined authority levels
  • Other duties as assigned
