About The Position

Crew Member/ Laborers assist in both guardrail, sign, and fence repairs while working with other crew members as well as foremen. This position involves physical labor, operation of tools and equipment, and ensuring jobsite safety under the supervision of the crew foreman. There are multitudes of certifications and training all crew members complete through the course of their development. These certifications prepare our crew members/ laborers for development and are outlined in the below job description.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to obtain DOT Medical Card.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift greater than one hundred (100) pounds.
  • Ability and willingness to perform non-business hour emergency response.
  • Ability and willingness to perform scheduled night work and travel – 1-3 days per week.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong adaptability skills.
  • Previous experience in a labor-intensive environment is a plus.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Willingness to volunteer for off hour emergency work.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in loading and unloading of materials.
  • Operate basic power tools and equipment not requiring additional licensure.
  • Following instructions on guardrail/ fence repairs from supervisor(s).
  • Complete TMA (Truck Mounted Attenuator) training.
  • Drive non-specialized/ non-CDL requiring vehicles.
  • Assist in safety setups.
  • Carry stock while onloading and offloading.
  • Assist Foremen in other tasks as requested.
