About The Position

Intact Insurance is currently seeking a bright and motivated student who is interested in learning from a talented team of experts about Accident and Health underwriting principles. During your internship, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced Underwriting Managers and individual contributors on the underwriting team. This full-time, paid position is hybrid with 3-4 days a week in the Morristown, NJ office. The projected start date is in June and the internship will last approximately until August.

Requirements

• Must be working towards a Finance, Accounting or Business focused degree.
• Preference will be given to those who have completed financial analysis coursework.
• Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills including use of Microsoft Office/Excel.
• Ability to work well under pressure and on multiple projects with competing priorities.
• Outstanding organization and time management skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to travel for business purposes.
• Understanding of how to use Teams/Remote Meeting Platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge about corporate insurance functions and the Accident and Health marketplace.
• Assist professionals with day-to-day underwriting assignments and special projects.
• Perform some of the work of entry-level underwriters.
