Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in vehicle interior trim accessories or SVO (special vehicle operations) design & development.
  • Design related experience with areas such as interior ornamentation, brightware, mechanisms, and soft goods.
  • Previous experience in solving complex technical issues and challenges.
  • Proven experience creating complex CAD schemes and models to an excellent standard, preferably using CATIA V5 or V6.
  • Proven experience with thermoplastic & thermoset resin materials and class A manufacturing technologies (including painting).
  • Experience with high and low volume production methods.
  • Launch experience.

  • Direct hands-on interior trim accessories or SVO experience.
  • Developing test plan and schedule for new products.
  • A strong desire to create the very best product, working as an integral part of a very capable team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the engineering introduction of new interior trim accessories from concept into production.
  • Create cutting edge parts for interior systems focusing on quality, reliability, functionality, mass and cost efficiency.
  • Work interactively within a cross functional studio, marketing and vehicle engineering teams, understanding the business case of each particular project.
  • Develop and implement benchmarking and testing plans and activities to deliver a continued improvement in product.
