Job Summary The Accessibility Specialist assists the Director of Access & Neurodiverse Student Success in managing all elements of the Institute's support of students with disabilities. The Specialist will obtain and organize required documentation from students requesting an accommodation and will assist the Director in approving and arranging for their execution.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in relevant field
  • Three (3) or more years related experience
  • 3 or more years of related experience preferred in higher education, disability services, case management, and or medical records
  • Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft and ability to learn job specific software and technology
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, and organize
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to compose routine correspondence and reports
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies
  • Ability to assesses situations, consider alternatives and chooses appropriate course of action

  • Professional experience in a higher education setting, working to support the following:
