About The Position

Job Summary: Secures valid data for the establishment of financial and medical records. Verifies insurance benefits, performs precertification, secures deposits, and established payments or referrals for payment sources Acts as a support to the client for access to hospital services and insurance companies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One year previous clerical experience, preferably in a healthcare setting in the areas of admissions and/or billing, with an emphasis on customer service.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures and equipment. (10-key calculator, fax machine, copy machine, and other basic office equipment.)
  • Oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college.
  • Previous hospital admissions.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Applications.
