Responsible for obtaining accurate, pertinent demographic and insurance information prior to services, thus reducing financial risk of third party denials and delayed collection processes for services both at on and off site facilities. Financial Responsibility Ensures appropriate insurance eligibility and authorizations are present prior to or at the time of services. Responsible for the POS collection of patient owed cost sharing amounts (copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and full cost (non-covered, self-pay) prior to or at the time of service. Refers patients to Financial Counselors for Financial Assistance or provides and application, when applicable. Ensures that cash drawer is cashed out appropriately daily. Information Management Utilizes information received from oral, written and electronic sources to make effective and appropriate decisions. Provides documentation, if applicable. Demonstrates sound judgement as evidenced by appropriate and timely referral of information. When applicable, uses technology to efficiently and effectively manage information.
