About The Position

NAMS Transportation is seeking compassionate and dedicated ACCESS Drivers to provide essential transportation services for senior citizens and adults with disabilities in Northern Allegheny County and the city of Pittsburgh. This role is vital in helping individuals maintain their independence and engage with their community through various trips, including grocery shopping and medical appointments. Drivers will receive comprehensive training and have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of those they serve.

Requirements

• Must have a valid PA Driver's license with no suspensions in the last 5 years.
• 5 years of personal driving experience/history required.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug tests (company paid).
• Lift Van applicants must pass a DOT physical.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with people with disabilities.
• Previous driving experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Transport senior citizens and adults with disabilities to various destinations including grocery stores and medical appointments.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to passengers during their trips.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers while driving.
• Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the vehicle used for transportation.
• Complete necessary paperwork and reports related to transportation services.
