The Access Coordinator ensures seamless, high-quality, and deaf-centered accessibility across all NDC programs, events, and media by coordinating interpreting, captioning, and related access services to ensure effective communication for all participants.

  • Manage all NDC access requests by securing providers, coordinating logistics and contracts, monitoring payments, and ensuring effective setup, communication, and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor and manage interpreter teams, workflows, partnerships, and quality.
  • Support accessibility of NDC media through translations, transcriptions, and visual descriptions, and assist with accessibility best-practice requests as needed.
  • Interpret for meetings, events, and conferences as needed, occasional travel when requested.
  • Contribute to the oversight and implementation of best practices for accessibility, as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Fluency in both ASL and written English.
  • Interpreter training or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years or more of interpreting in professional settings; knowledge or willingness to learn accessibility standards and practices for effective communication; ability to work flexibly; and ability to work in a fully team-centered environment.
  • Three references, two of whom are deaf consumers.
  • 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Interpreter training graduate and RID/BEI certification.
  • Familiarity with Google Suite.
