About The Position

CareMax is seeking an Access Coordinator to provide assistance to members regarding the ACCESS Florida program, which includes the Food Assistance Program, Temporary Cash Assistance, and Medicaid Program. The Access Coordinator will help members understand how to apply or renew their benefits and will serve as a representative for the Florida access community partner, ensuring that services are provided to all public inquiries. This role emphasizes the importance of empathy, respect, and dignity in serving our seniors and the community.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, required.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical terminology knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Explains, orients, and assists members about the ACCESS Florida program and how to apply or renew it.
  • Orients, supports, and assists in filling out governmental program applications, such as naturalization, citizenship, Medicare part D, housing, telephones, and electricity.
  • Greets new or potential patients and shows them the wellness and medical centers.
  • Supports the maintenance of a clean and organized Wellness Center.
  • Guides members to exits or provides instructions in case of emergency.
  • Works well under stressful conditions and treats members with respect.
  • Provides informational handouts from the county office.
  • Completes paper or online applications as requested by customers.
  • Provides assistance in calling the DCF Customer Call Center.
  • Prints, faxes, emails, or copies documents for customers as needed.
  • Explains the application process clearly.
  • Provides customer assistance for 'My Access Account'.
  • Performs other related or non-related tasks as assigned by the Center Administrator.
