Design, configure, and implement access control systems tailored to project requirements, ensuring seamless integration with Building Management Systems (BMS) and other security infrastructure. Collaborate with cross-functional project teams—including electrical engineers, security consultants, contractors, and facility managers—to develop customized access control strategies that align with both client needs and industry’s best practices. Program and deploy a wide range of access control technologies, including card readers, biometric scanners, electric strikes, and magnetic locks, ensuring functionality, security, and compliance with site-specific protocols. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues related to access control systems, maintaining optimal system performance and minimizing downtime. Conduct on-site system testing, validation, and commissioning to verify that all components operate according to design specifications and client expectations. Provide ongoing technical support and training to clients and end-users, assisting with system configuration, user management, and routine maintenance tasks. Maintain accurate documentation including system schematics, device lists, configuration settings, and test results for both internal use and client records. Stay current with evolving access control technologies, system integration trends, cybersecurity considerations, and relevant codes or industry standards to ensure best-in-class solutions.
