What this job involves: As an Access Control Specialist, you will be a key member of the team responsible for maintaining the security and operational integrity of our clients' facilities while experiencing maintenance work . Your primary duties will include escorting maintenance contractors within restricted areas and performing a variety of administrative maintenance tasks to support the team. You will also be tasked with vendor coordination and will take on entry-level project management responsibilities for small maintenance and repair projects. This role is integral to ensuring our facilities are secure, well-maintained, and efficiently run. What your day-to-day will look like: C heck the schedule for any planned maintenance and coordinate with vendors who are due on-site. A key part of your morning will be escorting these maintenance contractors into restricted spaces, ensuring they adhere to all security protocols and only access authorized areas. Throughout the day, you will handle various administrative tasks, which include updating and maintaining access control software , actioning vendor work orders administratively , ensuring completion of work. Communicating with other JLL maintenance stakeholders as to the completion status of ongoing work. Keep detailed logs of all maintenance activities. In the afternoon, you might focus on the project management aspect of your role, which involves overseeing small maintenance and repai r s.

Requirements

Age 18 years or older with strong technical acumen and electronics troubleshooting skills
Valid California Driver's License or equivalent with ability to travel between client properties
Ability to work effectively in both structured and unstructured environments as a self-starter with strict attention to detail
Strong electronic communication skills for coordinating with team members, managers, JLL employees, vendors, and clients
Familiarity with general electrical and electronics safety procedures and protocols
Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure, manage time effectively, and work in fast-paced environments with competing priorities
Professional appearance and demeanor with strong teamwork mentality and collaborative approach

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with security , classified areas, and restricted areas.
Experience with work order management systems and technical documentation
Understanding of preventive maintenance principles and inventory management
Ability to learn new hardware and software systems quickly
Experience working in commercial or industrial environments
