About The Position

As an Access Control Officer at Nooks, you’ll help keep our people, spaces, and information safe. You’ll work on-site to monitor access, patrol the facility, and respond to any issues that come up. We’ll rely on you to stay alert, follow procedures, and help create a secure and professional environment.
This is a great opportunity if you're early in your career and looking to gain hands-on experience in a mission-driven security environment. This is contract position with the opportunity to turn into a full time role.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail—you notice when something’s off
• Comfortable interacting with others and speaking up when needed
• Dependable and punctual—you show up ready to do the job
• Able to stay calm in stressful situations
• Willing to follow procedures and learn new systems
• MUST have own vehicle for transportation
• Ability to work 5:30AM to 3:30PM 5 days a week

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in employees, visitors, and vendors—making sure only authorized people enter the site
• Patrol the building and perimeter regularly to ensure everything is secure
• Watch for unusual activity and report anything out of the ordinary
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and badge readers as needed
• Respond to on-site incidents and follow emergency procedures
• Keep clear and accurate notes in daily activity logs and incident reports
• Follow security policies and support a safe, respectful workplace
