Acces VR Intern - Employment Services
About The Position
POSITION SUMMARYThe ACCES-VR Intern receives integrated community training at a work site pertaining to their desired field of employment. The ACCES-VR Intern will be assigned and supported by an Employment Specialist through FREE that will assist with securing an appropriate work site, supports onboarding, monitors progress through measurable outcomes, and serves as liaison among the work site, ACCES-VR counselors, and FREE’s Human Resources team.DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Follows instructions from on-site supervisor/management team at their assigned community work site to ensure that all job duties are fulfilled. Adheres to all safety procedures and protocols at the community work site. Communicates with the Employment Specialists and FREE’s Vocational Mangers to discuss progress, expectations, and case status. Performs other related duties as assigned.Responsibilities of All FREE Employees Always communicates in a respectful manner with all people including the people we support, supervisors, other valued team members, and members of the community. Complies fully with FREE’s confidentiality policies by holding in strictest confidence all information pertaining to members, residents, the people we support and their families, clients, providers, contractors, and employees. Meets all safety training requirements; adheres to all safety policies and reports any and all unsafe conditions; takes measures to prevent accidents and/or eliminate conditions that pose a safety or health risk. Meets all job requirements and stays in compliance. - Must have independent transportation to travel to and from secured work site.
