About The Position

The ACC GROW program merges students’ academic learning directly with eight core career competencies necessary for employment success as identified by a task force of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE). Through ACC GROW, Austin Community College students learn, apply, and strengthen these real-world essential job skills, then move on to expand their digital fluency and polish their professionalism. Students who move through the entire process (to ACC GROW Associate III) evolve professionally, have increased earning potential, and are better prepared to meet the contemporary demands of Central Texas employers. The ACC GROW Associate III position requires demonstrated knowledge and application of the eight core career competencies and mastery of relevant digital fluency skills as determined by ACC GROW Review Team. In addition, the ACC GROW Associate III is engaged in a specialized employment preparation curriculum such as ACC’s Continuing Education course, Strategies for Today’s Jobs, or another suitable alternative as agreed upon by the ACC GROW Review Team. Requirements

Benefits

  • Full-time faculty and staff employees who work in full-time and/or part-time positions at the college are eligible for ACC medical benefits effective the first of the month after their first 60 days of employment. Benefits include medical, dental, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, retirement plans, and AD&D.
  • ACC does not participate in Social Security. ACC participates in the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) and the Optional Retirement Program (ORP-Faculty and Administrators Only). Hourly employees participate in the ACC Money Purchase Plan (ACCMPP) as a retirement program required by federal law.
