This position ensures operational excellence through effective supervision of staff, safety and crisis management, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with clinical and educational leadership. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Educational or Organizational Leadership, Business Management, or a related field required, Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience (education, behavioral health, or related field preferred).
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams, managing operational systems, and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organizational and time management proficiency.
  • Emotional resilience and professionalism in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of crisis management, safety, and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead with empathy and strength—balancing care for students and staff with high expectations for performance and accountability.
  • Foster a trauma-informed culture where staff feel supported to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Model calm, compassionate leadership during crises and serve as a steady resource for staff and families.
  • Implement strategies to control and reduce operational costs without sacrificing quality or compliance.
  • Oversee day-to-day school operations, ensuring safe, predictable, and efficient systems for all Academy functions.
  • Maintain structured processes for staff schedules, training, compliance, and communication.
  • Ensure facilities are clean, organized, and conducive to learning and emotional regulation.
  • Oversee maintenance and building needs in coordination with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Develop and maintain systems and procedures that promote operational excellence and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Manage operational budgets and resource allocation to ensure cost-effective and compliant program functioning.
  • Approve building expenditures and prepare monthly financial summaries for leadership.
  • Identify and implement efficiency improvements without compromising quality or safety.
  • Model integrity, respect, and consistency in all interactions.
  • Supervise and coach paraprofessionals, crisis support staff, and operational personnel, ensuring clarity of expectations and professional growth.
  • Facilitate performance reviews, ongoing feedback, and opportunities for leadership development.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, compliance tracking, and incident reporting in accordance with BHA and state guidelines.
  • Collaborate with leadership to address compliance issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Promote a culture of optimism, teamwork, and problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with the Vice President to develop and implement strategies that support the Academy’s vision and goals.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the VP and Director of Educational Services regularly to ensure that the company's mission and procedures are embraced, and the quality of service is ensured.
  • Recognize achievements and celebrate progress across staff and student teams.
  • Remain proactive and solution-oriented when facing operational or behavioral challenges.
  • Partner with clinical and educational leaders to ensure all training aligns with evidence-based and trauma-informed best practices.
  • Oversee and enhance staff onboarding and training systems, ensuring consistent competency development across roles.
  • Promote staff learning through modeling, coaching, and data-driven improvement.
  • Develop and maintain operational systems that reinforce reliability and follow-through across all functions—safety, compliance, training, and communication.
  • Oversee tracking and reporting for behavioral interventions, seclusion/restraint data, and crisis response fidelity.
  • Ensure policies and expectations are implemented consistently across classrooms and teams.
  • Ensure efficient allocation of resources, including staff, materials, and technology, to optimize operations.
  • Support program practices that promote stabilization, skill development, and transition readiness for students.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align operations with student reintegration goals and long-term outcomes.
  • Maintain systems that measure and report progress toward reunification benchmarks.
  • Advocate for staff and student needs by identifying barriers and developing sustainable solutions.
  • Uphold BHA’s mission and represent the Academy professionally in all interactions with families, community partners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure all team members understand their role in advancing equitable, student-centered outcomes.
  • Conduct staff training, supervision, and performance evaluations as assigned.
  • Participate in on-call rotations for behavioral crisis response.
  • Complete all documentation, billing, and reporting requirements in accordance with BHA and regulatory guidelines.
