About The Position

This position assists in the overall success & growth of our Total Soccer Academy program and facility. The Academy Manager will meet with clients, understands goals, and maintains program expectations for In-Shape Family Fitness through sessions, assuring client improvement and satisfaction, and meets sessions and sales goals. This position will actively sell new Total Soccer Academy memberships and lead soccer sessions daily. The Academy Manager will create an inclusive culture that reflects the company brand, values, and strategy. The goal of this position is to partner with the General Manager to engage and inspire a team to achieve revenue targets for membership, training, additional programs and labor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Coaching experience highly desired
  • Strong service orientation and desire to deliver an outstanding member experience
  • Computer literate – proficient at MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS Word
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding organization and strong time management skills
  • Work quality must be highly accurate, timely, and in accordance with company policy and procedures
  • Excellent task completion and follow-through skills
  • Must demonstrate professionalism, cooperation, and ability to work well with all parties
  • Maintaining focus in a sometimes hectic and evolving environment
  • High regard and propensity for safety
  • Attend and participate in required meetings and trainings as needed
  • Willing and able to work a flexible shift: evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Current CPR or ability to pass CPR certification within 60 days of hire date
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work professionally and effectively with people at all levels of the organization with physical locations spread throughout the portfolio
  • Ability to work with interruptions, changing priorities and a busy work environment with tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated with high energy with a positive attitude
  • Self-managing with the ability to work independently to accomplish tasks
  • Displays good judgment, confidentiality and diplomacy in handling important company information and communicating with others
  • Passion for fitness/health/wellness
  • Ability to understand and process administrative requests, employee FTE impact on budgets and reconcile hours worked to training sessions worked
  • Knowledge of contemporary management and fitness terminology and methods
  • Ability to supervise a group during supervisor’s absence
  • Concussion protocol training

Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in the success & growth of the Total Soccer Academy program and facility
  • Perform duties as the right-hand to the General Manager to support the success of the program and facility
  • Engage in member retention and high level of customer service
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness inside the facility
  • Support staff in any needs that may be required
  • General maintenance of soccer equipment
  • Scheduling coaches and staff to match the needs of the business
  • Follow the Total Soccer Academy program expectations as designed by Elite and ISFF standards
  • Selling of new memberships through on-site evaluations to support in obtaining monthly targets
  • Performing on-site events, camps, clinics to generate new membership growth.
  • Communicates effectively with members, coworkers and manager verbally and in writing
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance
  • Ensures facility is kept clean and safe at all times through routine maintenance and safety checks
  • Attends all mandatory meetings in club as well as offsite; in addition to conference calls
  • Follows all health and safety requirements such as, but not limited to, physical distancing, regular surface cleaning, cough/sneeze etiquette, regular hand washing, and not coming to work when sick
  • Promptly and thoroughly reviews all requested health and safety training provided, asking questions for any topic not clearly understood
  • Maintain and operate soccer technology to ensure it is running appropriately
  • Other duties as assigned
