About The Position

LLCC is seeking a tech-savvy problem solver to join our team as an Academic Technology Operations Specialist. In this role, you'll provide technical administration and operational support for our Learning Management System (LMS) and other instructional technologies-ensuring smooth, optimized performance that aligns with our educational goals. Starting salary is likely to be between $51,911 and $68,589 per year with an excellent benefits package. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Technology or related field required. Consideration would be given to an individual who is making significant progress towards a bachelor's degree in the field and possesses relevant work experience.
  • 1-2 years' experience working in instructional technology or related field required.
  • Experience providing technical systems diagnostics and support required.
  • Knowledge and experience administering an online learning management system required.
  • Knowledge of computer networking and internet-related technologies required.
  • Strong technical skills and experience with academic technology applications and equipment required.
  • Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a team-based project development environment preferred.
  • Experience working in higher education preferred.
  • Experience administering a Canvas learning management system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain the college's LMS, including its integration with other academic technology systems, with attention to analyzing usage and managing system's test environment.
  • Investigate LMS course and content-related issues, recommending and executing appropriate resolutions to ensure minimal disruption to instruction.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and escalate as needed technical matters related to academic technology systems.
  • Support the management and upkeep of Innovation Center technology, other academic technology equipment, and departmental hardware.
  • Participate in academic technology projects related to system upgrades, enhancements, and new implementations.
  • Contribute to documentation that supports system assessment, evaluation, and decision-making.
  • Maintain current knowledge of instructional technology trends and best practices in higher education through professional development activities.
  • Work collaboratively with college departments to support academic initiatives that involve instructional technology and learning systems.
  • Assist in the College planning and assessment program by developing annual work unit objectives that impact long-range priority goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
