About The Position

St. Luke’s School, a secular (non-religious), college-preparatory day school serving grades 5 through 12, seeks a full time Academic Technologist to join the technology department. The Academic Technologist partners with faculty to integrate technology in ways that enhance teaching and learning. The role requires flexibility, collaboration, and a strong commitment to supporting teachers, students, and staff. We follow a teacher-driven model, focused on understanding instructional goals, identifying opportunities for technology use, and providing guidance for effective implementation. Located in New Canaan, Connecticut, St. Luke’s attracts families from 25 towns throughout Connecticut and New York. Responsibilities

  • Partner with faculty to design, deliver, and support technology-enhanced curricular experiences
  • Assume responsibility for key systems such as the Student Information System or Visitor Management system, based on experience and interest
  • Design and deliver training for faculty, including both planned professional development and responsive, just-in-time support; develop reusable instructional materials
  • Support faculty in effectively using classroom technology, including interactive display tools
  • Provide technology support and guidance to administrative and non-academic departments as needed
  • Lead or contribute to special projects, including project planning and coordination
  • Teach up to one mini-course per semester
