Academic Surgical Pathologist
About The Position
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, is seeking to recruit an academic Surgical Pathologist for a tenure-track/tenured, fixed-term, or variable track position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The successful candidate will be eligible for membership in the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, with opportunities for collaboration with a robust Breast research program. In addition to teaching clinical residents and fellows, opportunities are available for teaching in the School of Medicine and the Graduate School.
Requirements
- MD, DO or other MD-equivalent degree
- Be board-certified or board eligible in Anatomic Pathology
- Be eligible to obtain a medical license in North Carolina
Nice To Haves
- Fellowship training and/or expertise in Breast Pathology
- Willingness to provide additional coverage in Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology, Cytopathology, or Gynecologic Pathology
Responsibilities
- Participation in a multidisciplinary Breast tumor board
- Effective communication with an active clinical care team
