At Tutor Me Education, we are revolutionizing the way students learn, and we're seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring in Riverside, CA ! About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Riverside, CA Details: In-Person Tutoring in Riverside, CA Schedule: 25 hours, 2 sessions a week Pay range is between $25 and $35 Ideal Candidate: Experience working with high school students with autism, ADHD, or other neurodiverse learning needs Background supporting algebra, reading comprehension, writing, and executive functioning skills Skilled in breaking down complex math concepts (e.g., inequalities, fractions, relations) into manageable steps Experience improving reading comprehension, retention, and study strategies Knowledge of speech and writing support strategies for high school learners Patient, creative, and engaging, able to maintain focus and motivation in hands-on learners Familiarity with strategies to support social skills and relationship building in adolescents Ability to provide structured, individualized instruction and reinforcement Available for evening sessions

Requirements

  • Experience working with high school students with autism, ADHD, or other neurodiverse learning needs
  • Background supporting algebra, reading comprehension, writing, and executive functioning skills
  • Skilled in breaking down complex math concepts (e.g., inequalities, fractions, relations) into manageable steps
  • Experience improving reading comprehension, retention, and study strategies

  • Patient, creative, and engaging, able to maintain focus and motivation in hands-on learners
  • Familiarity with strategies to support social skills and relationship building in adolescents
  • Ability to provide structured, individualized instruction and reinforcement
  • Available for evening sessions

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support in algebra, focusing on problem-solving, inequalities, fractions, and relations
  • Support reading comprehension through guided reading, retention strategies, and discussion questions
  • Assist with writing tasks, including organization, clarity, and grammar
  • Incorporate executive functioning support, including organization, task initiation, time management, and study strategies
  • Use hands-on, creative, and student-centered teaching methods to maintain engagement
  • Incorporate student interests (e.g., drawing, birds) to enhance motivation and participation
  • Monitor progress and adjust lessons based on student needs and responses
  • Provide consistent reinforcement and encouragement to build confidence and independence
  • Communicate progress to caregivers as appropriate
  • Maintain a structured, supportive, and motivating learning environment
