The Academic Support Coordinator II at Georgia Tech is responsible for providing learning support opportunities to students through the direction of programs designed to enhance their academic success. This role involves coordinating tutoring services, facilitating faculty interactions, and offering academic coaching. The coordinator will also oversee the hiring and training of tutors and student assistants, manage data related to academic support programs, and ensure compliance with institutional guidelines.

  • Plan, design, and coordinate a range of programs and services that support student academic endeavors.
  • Lead the hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating tutors, SI leaders, and student assistants.
  • Oversee data management/assessment for all academic support programs.
  • Develop and request crystal reports for reporting, assessment, and evaluation purposes; ensuring data are stored securely and in compliance with OIT and Institute guidelines and policies.
  • Coordinate all operations and logistics in assigned tutoring area, including managing tutoring reception desk and departmental tutoring rooms; oversee technology and A/V equipment that support tutoring programs.
  • Oversee marketing materials and communication efforts for tutoring and academic support programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three to four years of job-related experience.
  • Familiarity with student information systems and tutoring scheduling software.
  • Master's Degree.
