About The Position

ETSU Quillen College of Medicine invites board-certified/board-eligible Rheumatologists to join our existing team of physicians in the Appalachian Highlands of Tennessee. As an Academic Rheumatologist at ETSU, you will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive care, contributing to research, and educating future healthcare professionals in the field of Rheumatology. This outpatient-focused position follows a 4-day schedule, with one day reserved for protected administrative time. Rheumatologists play a significant role in improving the healthcare landscape of our community, as there is a substantial need for Rheumatological expertise in this region. As a physician in our department, you will be supported by a dedicated Biologics PA Coordinator, on-site lab services, and a healthcare system that prioritizes meaningful patient care over demanding productivity metrics. Our faculty members benefit from the guidance of experienced academic leaders within our established medical school, alongside a multitude of resources tailored to foster their professional development and growth. Working at ETSU qualifies you for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program, as well as other loan forgiveness and repayment initiatives.
