About The Position

Graduate Admissions Evaluators play a crucial role at the University. They are trained to evaluate graduate applications and verify that applicants meet The Graduate School minimum requirements. As a Graduate Admissions Evaluator, the employee will evaluate domestic and foreign academic transcripts, confirm credentials, and enter information into our database systems. Attention to detail is key, as is a strong sense of customer service. We work closely with graduate departments, applicants, and campus partners to facilitate the application process. Requirements

• Three years of general office experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience), one of which in an academic setting; and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required.
• Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.

• College coursework in a related area is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating international and domestic graduate applications.
• Evaluate academic transcripts, test scores, and other domestic and international credentials.
• Monitor students’ academic files to ensure information is complete and updated by filling in information and changing records when applicable.
• Respond to emails related to international and domestic graduate admissions.
• Provide customer service at our office windows and via phone calls as it relates to international and domestic graduate admissions.
• Process credentials related to international and domestic graduate admissions.
• Other duties as assigned; May be cross-trained in other areas of the office.
