About The Position

This role is responsible for planning and executing a variety of student wellness events and the Student Gala throughout the year. It will also oversee the accuracy of the academic calendars for first and second-year students, as well as maintain proctoring schedules. Additionally, this position will provide administrative support for the department. A cover letter and resume are required to be considered for this position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Experience working with academic programs and/or student affairs in a post-secondary environment.
  • Experience with project coordination.
  • Experience working with confidential information.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Fiscal responsibilities include completing check request forms, prepare bank deposits, order office supplies, and review student reimbursements.
  • Create and maintain the academic calendars for year one and year two students.
  • Communicate with students, faculty, and KUMC administration to maintain complete accuracy in course management systems.
  • Make decisions regarding faculty and student absence backup plans.
  • Find solutions to missing faculty assignments or academic schedule changes.
  • Oversee deadlines for submission of faculty evaluation results and report creation.
  • Plan and execute various student wellness events, as well as organizing the annual Gala event throughout the year.
  • Assign and maintain proctoring schedules and backup information for all M1 and M2 exams throughout the year.
  • Oversee faculty and student recognition awards.
  • Provide administrative support for department.
  • Coordinate MSPE interviews with the associate dean.
  • Oversee faculty access to electronic academic resources, and troubleshooting various student issues, as well as ensuring completion of annual student compliance training and completion of Kansas Medical Student Loan contracts each year.
