About The Position

The Director of the Office of Partnership Programs plays a vital role in the School of Education by ensuring successful management of the Office of Partnership Programs. Reporting to the Assistant Dean, along with the CUNY Title overview, responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to: + Oversee and provide strategic leadership for Office of Partnership Programs, including but not limited to managing the School of Education's alternative certification, advanced certification, and grant and contract-funded programs. + Oversee the operational processes and structures of the Office of Partnership Programs, ensuring efficiency and quality + Oversee the hiring and onboarding of new staff, including liaising with HR on staff related inquiries, establishing appropriate staffing structures and assigning portfolio responsibilities to staff as needed + Manage external partner relationships to ensure high quality implementation of programs and positive relationships with partners. + Develop and implement consistent and rigorous standards for the program, to ensure program goals and deadlines are met + Oversee all grants and contracts that govern the Office of Partnership Program's portfolio of work, including but not limited to: pre award budget preparation, award management, and reporting requirements for all funders. + Prepare and ensure timely and accurate preparation and production of proposals, presentations, and other materials and reports in accordance with federal, state, and local reporting requirements. + Develop and cultivate new & existing partnerships for potential funding opportunities in alignment with program's priorities which includes responding to RFPs + Maintain cross functional relationships with faculty and units across the college to support integration and implementation of programs + Participate and attend regular School of Education leadership team meetings to facilitate school wide goals and priorities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and eight years' related experience required.
  • Excellent project management skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong time management and organization skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize activities, work under and meet deadlines, and effectively handle changing priorities
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders and constituents
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent technology skills included proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and online apps and academic systems including Google drive and CUNYfirst
  • Excellent Excel and data analysis skills

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree Strongly Preferred
  • Experience in educational, nonprofit, or higher education institution setting; prior experience in a college or university setting and knowledge of K-12 education or teacher preparation preferred
