About The Position

Berklee NYC is seeking a collaborative, detail-oriented, and mission-driven Academic Operations Manager to join our vibrant, creative campus. Reporting to the Associate Dean, the Academic Operations Manager will be a key player in managing and supporting administrative and operational functions across Berklee NYC’s degree-granting, and co-curricular programs. As part of a small but mighty team, the Academic Operations Manager partners closely with colleagues at Berklee NYC and across our Boston-based offices. From coordinating registration and compliance processes to managing scheduling systems and supporting students throughout their academic journey, this position plays an essential role in maintaining a student-centered experience that reflects Berklee’s core values of creativity, excellence, and belonging.

Requirements

  • Holds a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Has 2–3 years of administrative or student services experience in higher education.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally, with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrates cultural competence, discretion, and the ability to build trust across diverse communities.
  • Enjoys creative problem-solving and is proactive in finding solutions and efficiencies.
  • Is tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day academic operations, including maintaining program grids, updating curriculum documentation, and managing scheduling platforms.
  • Oversee student registration, enrollment tracking, and compliance (e.g., immunizations, health insurance) in collaboration with cross-campus teams.
  • Provide direct student support — from basic triage and referrals to maintaining case files and connecting students to wellness resources.
  • Serve as an information hub — compiling and distributing essential communications and updates for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Manage and update web content related to academic programs and student services.
  • Supervise 1–3 graduate assistants or student employees.
  • Collaborate on reporting, data entry, and administrative workflows using platforms such as Informer, Workday, Salesforce, and Colleague.
  • Support continuous improvement of systems and services that benefit students and academic leadership.
