About The Position
The Department of Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria, in collaboration with OSF HealthCare, seeks an academic medical oncologist to join a growing department known for clinical excellence and innovative educational programs. The Department of Medicine seeks to enhance and expand its training programs through the implementation of an ACGME accredited hematology/medical oncology fellowship program. The position requires experience and knowledge of regulations governing resident/fellow education and/or excellence and experience in basic/translational research in the field of oncology to support the scholarly requirements of the program. The candidate will teach fellows, residents and medical students at a 650-bed, tertiary care, academic medical center and in the new, state of the art OSF Cancer Institute. This role offers a dynamic environment with the opportunity to impact patient outcomes, contribute to scientific advancements, and shape the next generation of oncologists, all while playing an integral role in the department's administrative and strategic goals.
