West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine seek an Infectious Diseases physician (ranks available: Assistant Professor or Associate Professor or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV. The successful candidate will practice in the area of adult Infectious Diseases (ID). Clinical responsibilities will include a mix of ID inpatient and outpatient. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Candidate will also be expected to participate in scholarly activities. The ID Division has 15 faculty with diverse expertise, skills, and experience. We also have excellent APPs who work closely with ID faculty and fellows. The ID Division is recognized for valuable contributions to all our missions, education, service, and scholarship. Many faculty have won teaching awards not only locally and regionally but also nationally. Areas of expertise/focus include health care epidemiology, musculoskeletal infections, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis B, C, antimicrobial stewardship, Transplant ID, telehealth, OPAT, and COpAT. ID Division has an active fellowship program with 100% ID Board pass rate.
