About The Position
SLUCare Physician Group, the academic medical practice of SSM Health, is seeking a dedicated and board-certified family physician for a full-time faculty position. This role is designed for a physician who possesses strong clinical skills and a commitment to training future family physicians. The position is situated within a vibrant and collaborative department, emphasizing the importance of education and mentorship in the field of family medicine. The successful candidate will engage in an ambulatory practice alongside faculty colleagues within an innovative Patient Centered Medical Home located on the medical campus at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital. There is also an option to participate in inpatient medicine, providing a comprehensive experience in both outpatient and inpatient care. This position offers the opportunity to join a large academic faculty dedicated to the clinical teaching of medical students and residents through clerkships, electives, and seminars. Mentoring medical students who aspire to pursue careers in family medicine is a key component of this role. In addition to patient care, SLUCare physicians are actively involved in educating the next generation of healthcare professionals at SSM Health St. Louis. The teaching philosophy is guided by the Catholic Jesuit tradition, which emphasizes a balance between the science of medicine and the compassionate care of patients, ensuring that people remain at the forefront of all activities. Support and mentorship for scholarship and research are also integral to this position, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional development.
