About The Position

Join the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Primary Care and Sports Medicine team, where you can thrive in a collaborative and supportive environment while making a meaningful impact on patients and athletes of all ages. Our practice is part of the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Health Medical Group, dedicated to preventive care in children and adults and improving the overall health and wellness of our community. This role will primarily focus on primary care while being an integral part of an outstanding regional sports medicine program.

Requirements

• Successful completion of M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
• Successful completion of a Family Medicine Residency Program with graduation from a Sports Medicine Fellowship, preferably from an accredited program.
• Board Certification or Eligibility in Family Medicine.
• Current North Carolina Medical License, DEA, and BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in sports medicine or related fields.
• Interest in teaching and research opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients in a variety of ways, from treating chronic illnesses to advising about preventative healthcare.
• Perform physical exams, take medical histories, perform and interpret diagnostic tests, and recommend a plan of treatment.
• Provide sideline coverage responsibilities and participate in community coverage.
• Collaborate with athletic trainers and other healthcare professionals.
