The Endocrinology, Diabetes and Nutrition Division at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking a clinician educator. This position will have a primary clinical focus at the University of Maryland Midtown Campus, providing outpatient endocrinology services and inpatient consultative care to a diverse patient population. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team including diabetes educators, nurse practitioners, and pharmacists, and will play an active role in medical student, resident, and endocrinology fellow education at this site. Opportunities exist to participate in community-based initiatives in diabetes and metabolic health, as well as clinical and quality improvement research. Expected faculty rank for this position will be Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.

  • Provide outpatient endocrinology services and inpatient consultative care.
  • Join a multidisciplinary team including diabetes educators, nurse practitioners, and pharmacists.
  • Participate in the education of medical students, residents, and endocrinology fellows.
  • Engage in community-based initiatives in diabetes and metabolic health.
  • Participate in clinical and quality improvement research.
  • Medical degree from a recognized accredited domestic university (or foreign equivalent).
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified (BE/BC) in Endocrinology.
  • Eligibility for an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland.
  • Outstanding clinical skills with a strong commitment to patient care and teaching.
