Candidates must hold a Ph.D. or Doctor of Nursing Practice ( DNP ) degree. Requirements include a minimum of five years’ experience with demonstrated leadership ability and exhibited strength in both research and teaching. It is expected that the Director will have the credentials to be appointed at the rank of Associate or Full Professor with tenure. The successful candidate possesses skills to develop new and innovative approaches to nursing education and research, demonstrated ability to build relationships with industry partners and alumni to benefit teaching, research and outreach programs, experience with accreditation and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proved record in designing and delivering innovative programs in interdisciplinary research and the advancement of undergraduate and graduate education to a diverse student body.
