About The Position

Academic Coordinator Pay Range: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour based on experience Location: Benton, TN Schedule: Full time, Onsite Are you passionate about academic excellence and meaningful student impact? Embark Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated Academic Coordinator to support the educational success of adolescents in a therapeutic, residential treatment environment. This dynamic role blends academic planning, direct instruction, executive functioning support, and cross‑disciplinary collaboration; ideal for educators with strong organizational leadership, curriculum experience, and a passion for student advocacy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related teaching field (required).
  • Direct classroom teaching experience; Special Education background preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in writing IEPs and 504 Plans.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in therapeutic or behavioral settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate weekly academic services and facilitate individualized academic plans in partnership with students, families, and home schools.
  • Provide daily academic support, including one‑on‑one instruction and executive functioning coaching, to help students achieve their educational goals.
  • Oversee academic testing; maintain complete student records; and support the development and implementation of IEPs and 504 Plans.
  • Collaborate with clinical, residential, and academic teams to ensure academic plans support therapeutic goals and program success.
  • Lead or support social‑emotional learning groups and communicate observed behaviors to the multidisciplinary treatment team.
  • Maintain timely communication with parents, schools, and internal teams; submit all academic documentation within three days of student discharge.
  • Assist the Academic Director with administrative tasks and work with the Program Director on classroom resources, technology, and academic budget planning.
