Evolve Adolescent Behavioral Health is seeking an Academic Coordinator to oversee our 6-bed adolescent treatment centers located in Walnut Creek and Lafayette. This full-time position is crucial in ensuring that the academic needs of our clients are met in conjunction with their mental health needs. The Academic Coordinator will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with clients, families, and educational professionals to develop individualized academic programs tailored to each student's unique learning goals during their time in our residential treatment center (RTC). The role requires the Academic Coordinator to travel between the two programs within the Pod Structure to be present for daily school time, facilitating positive learning experiences for clients and providing one-on-one support with schoolwork. The coordinator will also participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, assisting parents in advocating for their children and ensuring that necessary accommodations are provided. This includes collaborating with school counselors and teachers to meet the academic needs of clients, maintaining safety through close observation, and providing weekly updates to parents regarding their child's academic progress. In addition to these responsibilities, the Academic Coordinator may create and facilitate weekly study skills groups as needed and will be expected to perform other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree, be comfortable tutoring high school students in English and Algebra, and have excellent time management and communication skills. A valid California driver's license and reliable transportation are also required, along with the ability to pass background checks.
